Nicole Belson Goluboff
Nicole Belson Goluboff, Esq. is the author of The Law of Telecommuting (ALI-ABA 2001) and its Supplement (2004), which concern the legal consequences of telecommuting for both employers and employees. She is also the author of Telecommuting for Lawyers (American Bar Association [“ABA”] 1998), which concerns telework as a law practice management strategy, and of numerous articles on telecommuting. Her articles have appeared in the New York Law Journal, the National Law Journal, The Practical Tax Lawyer, Trial Magazine, FindLaw's Legal Commentary, ALA Management Encyclopedia, and Telecommute Magazine, among other publications.
Ms. Goluboff has been quoted as a telework authority in such publications as The New York Law Journal, Forbes.com, BusinessWeek online, and Network World. She was a guest speaker on “The Dolans,” a nationally heard financial program on WOR Radio. She has also served as a panelist in numerous seminars or discussions concerning telework. Her speaking engagements include delivery of the Keynote Address for the United States Department of Justice 2001 Executive Development Program Series seminar, "Telecommuting for Attorneys."
Ms. Goluboff is past Chair of the Subcommittee on Telecommuting of the ABA Young Lawyers Division Women in the Profession Committee. She has also been a member of the International Telework Association & Council, the LAAWS Network (Lawyers Advancing Alternative Work Solutions), the Association of the Bar of the City of New York Standing Committee on Lawyers in Transition, the New York State Bar Association (“NYSBA”) Committee on Citizenship Education, and the NYSBA Committee on Children and the Law. She has practiced as a telecommuting litigator with the New York law firm of Kostelanetz & Fink and as an office-based commercial litigator with the New York firm of Kronish Lieb Weiner & Hellman.
Ms. Goluboff earned her JD in 1990 from the Columbia University School of Law. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in 1987 from Columbia University, Columbia College, where she graduated as a philosophy major, summa cum laude and junior Phi Beta Kappa, in the college's first co-ed class.
