FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TELEWORK COALITION TO LEAD “WORK@HOME™” CONFERENCE Track
AT JANUARY INTERNET TELEPHONY CONFERENCE & EXPO EAST 2007
at Broward County convention center in Ft. Lauderdale
Nationally Renowned Association Will Leverage Proven Expertise in Securing
Employment for Disabled Vets, Rural Broadband Development and Telecommuting
At Industry's Top Telecom Event
Washington, DC and Norwalk, CT (November 29, 2006) - The Telework Coalition (TelCoa)
and TMC, today announced that TelCoa will present the Work@Home educational track at
the upcoming Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO EAST 2007(www.itexpo.com), co-
located with Call Center 2.0 (callcenter20.com), which is taking place at the Broward County
Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, January 23-26, 2007. The Work@Home track
will feature eight sessions that address proven strategies and results in today's distributed
work environment.
The Telework Coalition's mission is to enable virtual, mobile, and distributed work through
education, technology, and legislation. They bring together a diverse array of organizations,
companies, and individuals that share the common interest of promoting awareness and
adoption of existing and emerging Telework and Telecommuting applications. It is very
important to note, that TelCoa addresses many areas of employment opportunities for
the Work@Home™ market, and has had recent, noteworthy success in finding employment
for service disabled veterans, their care giving spouses, other disabled Americans, older
workers, and rural workers who have been unable to find satisfactory jobs close to where
they live.
“The Telework Coalition is looking forward to presenting the Work@Home™ track at Call
Center 2.0, part of The Internet Telephony Conference and Expo in Ft. Lauderdale,” said
Chuck Wilsker, president and CEO, the Telework Coalition. “Working from home provides
opportunities to a large cross section if individuals, who are interested in remaining in the
workforce but otherwise, would be unable to do so.”
Launched in 1999, INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO is a targeted and
innovative conference featuring what many believe to be the most comprehensive IP
communications education available. IP-based voice, video, and data solutions offer
businesses and telecommunications service providers a lower-cost, more feature-rich
alternative to traditional telecom services.
“We are extremely excited to be working with the Telework Coalition to jointly educate a
worldwide audience of teleworking decision makers,” said Rich Tehrani, conference
chairman, Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO. “IP communications technology such
as voice and video over IP, have revolutionized the work at home industry, allowing qualified
workers to be easily matched with appropriate employers from around the world. In the
process, companies save money and are able to hire the most qualified talent regardless
of location.”
