Julia Loughran
Ms. Loughran has extensive experience in helping government
and commercial organizations use technology to increase
productivity for individuals and teams - particularly those not
physically located together. As co-founder and President of
ThoughtLink, Ms. Loughran is responsible for the strategic
leadership and continued rapid growth of the company. She
focuses on leveraging the company's successful track record
to direct ThoughtLink's further expansion into the government,
international and commercial markets.
Ms. Loughran has successfully led her team in evaluating
technologies and conducting research for a variety of organizations,
including the United States' Department of Defense, Department
of Homeland Security, Canada's Pearson Peacekeeping Centre, and
non-governmental organizations such as the Center for Humanitarian
Cooperation and the International Rescue Committee.
She is frequently called on to speak at conferences, including the Serious
Games Summit in Washington, DC and she provided a Keynote
at SimTecT in Melbourne, Australia. Additionally, Ms. Loughran has been
featured in numerous publications, including Government Computer News,
Newsday, The Washington Post, and Entrepreneur Magazine. Ms. Loughran
holds an M.S. degree in Artificial Intelligence/Information Systems Technology
from George Washington University and a B.S. degree in Communications
from the University of Utah.
