Detail professional accomplishments
Following the 2002 death of her brother, founder of PatriotNet and Patriot Computer Group,
Ms. de Lorenzi accepted leadership of the Fairfax-based ISP. In the face of intense competition
from major national telecommunications carriers in a commoditized business, Ms. de Lorenzi
increased revenues by more than 20 percent in three years, and successfully sold the ISP in
the Spring of 2006.
During her tenure as the CEO of PatriotNet, she co-founded the Washington Bureau for ISP
Advocacy and the Gigabyte March. These organizations serve to educate and advocate on
behalf of ISP's, CLECs, technology innovators, suppliers, aggregators and consumers who
believe in the need for choice and competition in a shifting telecommunication regulatory
environment. Both of these organizations are based in Washington and have
contributed to the local employment marketplaces.
In addition to her local professional engagements, Ms. deLorenzi has served her industry as
a champion, fighting for the rights of small and medium enterprises in the telecommunications
services. Much of her media coverage listed above demonstrates her commitment to supporting
her industry.
In addition, Ms. deLorenzi started one professional networking group (Success in the City), serves
on several boards, and chairs a CEO leadership group that encourages growth and development.
Prior to returning to the Washington Metropolitan area in 2002, Ms. de Lorenzi co-founded the North
Texas Technology Council and served as its CEO. And previously she served as the Southwest
Regional Director of the Concord Coalition, a nonpartisan, grassroots educational organization
advocating fiscal responsibility and reform of entitlement programs to ensure the viability and
fairness for all generations.
