Gail Martin
Gail Martin was the first Executive Director of the original Telecommuting Advisory Council, and was instrumental in expanding its scope to become the International Telework Association & Council (1995-2001). During this period, major accomplishments included:
-Increased membership by 125 percent;
-Increased budget by 400 percent;
-Expanded the scope and venue of annual conference;
-Developed two major grants from EPA and AT&T;
-Administered Telework America;
-Served on ITAC's Blue Ribbon Panel and was an author of the E-WorkGuide;
-Coordinated ITAC's partnership with publisher of TELECOMMUTE MAGAZINE;
-Developed ITAC coalitions with telework related organizations including:
Consumer Electronics Association, National Environmental Policy Institute, Greater Metropolitan
Washington Council of Governments, International Facility Manager's Association,
Japan Telework Association, Austrian Press and Information Services, and a wide variety of national and
international corporations;
-Marketed information on telework to major television and radio networks and print media;
-Introduced telework legislative initiatives for state and local governments and presented testimony to the U. S.
Congress.

Analyzed and designed a total food service system to feed 30,000 homeless persons for the New York City Department of Human Services. Recommended cost savings that resulted in $1.7 million dollars per year.
Marketing Director, National Association for Family & Community Education
Developed a marketing campaign addressing violence on television during children's viewing hours that resulted in 100,000 pledges from consumers to turn off their TV's for one 24 hour period. The pledges, delivered to the Federal Communications Commission were instrumental in promoting the V chip.
Executive Director of the National Association of Meal Programs
An organization representing government funded elderly nutrition services and Meals on Wheels.
Initiated and implemented a public-private partnership with the Reynolds Metals Co. resulting in a corporate donation to NAMP of $230,000 for Thanksgiving meals for the elderly and disabled. This promotion spawned a national public relations and advertising campaign that reached 55 million households.
Developed corporate donation of 12 Saab USA cars including maintenance and insurance costs underwritten by Saab to senior meal providers for use in their programs with a total value of $250,000.
Project Director, National Eldercare Institute on Nutrition.
Developed minimum standards for nutrition programs for the elderly for 1991 reauthorization of the Older Americans Act.
Director of Planning and Management, Union County, N.J. Division on Aging
Received two Achievement Awards from the National Association of County Officials for the centralization of a Meals on Wheels program and the planning and purchase of a county commissary to prepare and deliver 2000 meals per day to 21 towns.
Ms. Martin attended the College of William and Mary and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree from Montclair University, N.J. She has a Master's Certificate in Public Administration from Kean College. She is currently retired and is working on improving her golf game and enjoying her two grand daughters.
